Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC)

Melamine-faced chipboard (MFC) is an engineered wood product made by bonding a decorative melamine resin-impregnated paper onto the surface of a chipboard core, providing a hard, durable, and easy-to-clean finish.

MFC is widely used in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, and interior fittings due to its affordability, versatility, and range of available colours and textures. It offers good resistance to scratches, moisture, and stains, making it a practical choice for high-use environments.

The use of this material requires a specialist skillset and dedicated machinery separate to that of carpentry or joinery.   We adopted this technology over 20 years ago as a significant upgrade to the outgoing veneer & lacquer techniques that were fashionable at the time.

Using MFC has enabled us to create our product with more consistency, tighten up tolerances, shorten lead times and reduce waste.

CNC Manufacturing

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) manufacturing is a highly precise and automated process that uses computer-guided machines to cut, drill, and shape materials with exceptional accuracy.

We use CNC technology to produce chipboard components that form the core structure of our office furniture.

The result is consistently high-quality parts that fit together perfectly, allowing for efficient assembly and long-lasting durability. CNC manufacturing not only improves precision and efficiency but also reduces waste, making it an essential part of our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Automated Edgebanding

Edgebanding involves applying a protective and decorative edge to raw board surfaces, improving both the appearance and longevity of the furniture. Our CNC-controlled edgebanding process ensures a seamless, durable finish on every chipboard panel we produce.

Using advanced CNC automation, we achieve precise alignment, consistent adhesive application, and clean trimming—resulting in a flawless edge every time. This technology allows us to efficiently handle shapes and high production volumes, while maintaining the quality and durability our customers expect.

Hand Assembly

After the precision of CNC manufacturing our furniture undergoes meticulous hand assembly by our skilled craftsmen, this step is where technology meets human touch, ensuring that each component fits perfectly and functions as intended.

Our team will install all fixings by hand and carefully assemble each unit, paying close attention to structural integrity, alignment, and finish.

Once assembled, every product goes through a thorough quality control inspection, where we check for durability, stability, and overall appearance of the finished piece. This hands-on approach ensures that every item leaving our factory meets the high standard of quality we strive for.
